Two years after Congress passed a law setting comprehensive limits on lead in children's products, the government needs to address other heavy metals in such products, the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) testified Thursday morning.

The toy giant has recalled toys -- including tricycles and play places -- citing potential dangers from falling onto certain protruding parts and choking hazards from small parts.

The United States is in talks with international counterparts on an universal labeling system to trace the origins of imported goods for children.
